CASSOPOLIS, MI -- Rebecca J. Dickson, 56, of
66196 Union Road, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006,
at Goshen General Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1949, in Elkhart to Maynard J. Pickels
and Charlotte Pixley. She married Jim A. Dickson.
He survives, along with one son, Steve (Kristin) Whitaker of
Elkhart; one daughter, Tammy (Mathew) Land of Elkhart; three
stepsons, Adam (Erin) Dickson of Colorado, Bill Dickson of
Elkhart and Joshua Dickson of Texas; two stepdaughters,
Brittney Dickson of Elkhart and Jeannie Rose of Texas; 10
grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Mary) Miller of
Elkhart; two stepsisters, Marlene (Kern) Shoopman of Bristol
and Carolyn (Jesse) Riddle of Martinsville, Ind.; and her
mother, Charlotte Crabtree of Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ervin L.
Crabtree.
Mrs. Dickson was a cosmetologist and graduate of
Elkhart Beauty College and Concord High School. She enjoyed
flowers, interior decorating, cooking and spending time with
her grandchildren. |
RICHARD
KISER
Jul 8, 1950-Jun 28-2005
ELKHART --Richard Kiser, 54, of Susquehanna
Ct, died at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Elkhart
General Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1950, in Elkhart, to
the late Attice Merwood Kiser and Goldie Bernice Johnson.
Surviving are one son, Rodney J. (Crystal)
Kiser of Elkhart; two daughters, Stacey R. Hayes of Goshen
and Nicole M. (Rodney) Capps of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two
grandchildren; and one sister, Marlene Hickman of Elkhart.
He worked as a welder since the early
1970s. In 1985, he started Kiser Welding, which he owned and
operated until his death.
He graduated from Concord High
School in 1968 and was an avid pool player and a member of
the APA. He also enjoyed fishing.

Feb. 18, 1950-Jan. 24, 2008
GOSHEN, IN -- Conalee West, 1225 Greencroft Drive, Goshen, died Thursday at 9:53 a.m. at Goshen General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1950, in Goshen, to Kenneth L. and Carol M. (Stine) West.
A lifelong area resident, she was an accountant with Century 21 Landmark Realtors.
She was a member of Creekside Church of the Brethren where she took attendance for the Sunday morning worship services and volunteered to read to patients that could no longer read. She was a volunteer in the activities department and assisted the Greencroft staff. She liked to read, stitch, garden and enjoyed pets.
Surviving are her sister, Jerilyn Ingle, Elkhart; and brothers, Kerry L. (Gail) West, and Randal K. (Mary) West, both of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a tissue and cornea donor.
The funeral service was held at The Meeting-house at Greencroft conducted by the Rev. Margaret Sawatsky.
Burial was in Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen.

JUDY L. HOLAWAY (Johnson)
Dec. 13, 1949 - March 19, 2007
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Judy Leigh Holaway, 57, died after a long battle with breast cancer.
She is survived by her mother, Jeanne Finney of Elkhart; two sisters, Jana (Jerry) Workman and Deann McClure, both of Elkhart; and her life partner, Irwin Thuor, and his three daughters, Tara, Jennifer and Erica, all of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Johnson Jr.
Ms. Holaway worked for WSJV in Elkhart. As operations manager, she left in 1980 and moved to Tucson, AZ., to Connecticut, then transferred to San Francisco. She then moved to North Carolina. She worked in computer operations as a contractor and consultant before joining EDS, Plano Texas, but staying in North Carolina, and telecommuting from her home, primarily doing systems work.
Ms. Holaway enjoyed all phases of computers
and also worked with software. She was appreciated for her ability to adapt complicated systems,
and proposed a new procedure that saved
her employer millions of dollars. She enjoyed her family, traveling and reading. |
